What should we be doing?
*NEW*
You may have started finding information to help answer your questions.
You need to 'sort out' this information in some way:
How will you record it?
How will you present it?
What information is most useful to you?
What NEW questions do you have as a result of this new information?
You can keep track in a word document (perhaps google doc), PowerPoint (or google presentation), Prezi.
It's up to you really.
Here is a quick example...
http://prezi.com/2di3cu4odp_i/example-exhibition-prezi/
Now is the time to start thinking of how you will answer your questions. Here are some ideas to get you started:
Internet (good for facts, figures such as 'How many children are born each year in Bangladesh?')
Books (good for more detailed ideas {often easier to read than websites} and especially comparing Bangladesh to other countries)
Guest speakers (experts who can answer your questions and give you new perspectives)
Writing to an expert - find someone who can answer questions, perhaps using email.
Visits (meeting people affected by the issues you are looking at and learning from their real experiences)
Visits (meeting organizations working towards a similar goal as your chosen Millennium Development Goal)
Writing Questions
What burning questions do you have about your
central idea and lines of inquiry
?
These questions should help you to begin your inquiry
.
Some examples:
Does everyone in our local community have a chance to go to school?
If someone cannot attend school then why?
What does it mean to be healthy?
Are all babies born in a hospital?
Do babies need to be born in hospitals?
Your inquiry begins as you try to answer these questions.... so how will you do that?
What does the word
Research
mean to you?
Internet and Books?
OR... getting out and speaking to real people who have the experience to answer your questions?
